Knock Turnals Win Best Innovation at Galgotias International Hackathon 2025 In a proud moment for Axis Institute of Technology and Management, two talented students — Mr. Kashif Ali Khan (B.Tech 2nd Year, Computer Science and Engineering) and Mr. Aman Verma (B.Tech 2nd Year, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning) — clinched the Best Innovation Award at the prestigious Galgotias International Hackathon 2025, held from 9th to 10th May at Galgotias College of Engineering and Technology.
The 36-hour hybrid hackathon brought together some of the brightest young innovators from across the globe to address real-world challenges in AI, blockchain, cybersecurity, and next-generation technologies.
It was a highly competitive, high-energy event designed to foster creativity, technical excellence, and impactful solutions. Representing their institution under the team name “Knock Turnals”,
Kashif and Aman developed an impressive research tool called Aushadhi AI. The tool is designed to accelerate drug discovery by generating alternative drug compound molecules.
It analyzes the target protein of a disease in conjunction with existing drug structures. What makes Aushadhi AI truly unique is its ability to generate a comprehensive report including probable side effects, effectiveness rates, cost analysis, and molecular simulations — making it a potential game-changer in pharmaceutical research.
Their outstanding innovation earned them the Best Innovation Award along with a prize of ₹10,000, bringing pride to their alma mater. “We are extremely proud of Kashif and Aman,” said a faculty member from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at Axis Institute of Technology and Management.
“Their achievement is a reflection of the department’s commitment to fostering analytical thinking, research-oriented learning, and real-world application of classroom concepts.”
The Galgotias International Hackathon served as a dynamic platform for students to showcase their problem-solving skills and tech-driven creativity.
The event encouraged participants to step out of their comfort zones and explore disruptive ideas that could make a global impact. Expressing his excitement, Mr. Kashif Ali Khan shared, “Winning this award was a surreal experience.
Aushadhi AI started as an idea in our lab sessions and being able to present it on such a big stage is both humbling and empowering.” Mr. Aman Verma added, “The hackathon environment was electric.
It pushed us to our limits and taught us how to turn challenges into innovative solutions. We’re grateful to our mentors and proud to represent Axis Institute.”
The success of Team Knock Turnals is a testament to Axis Institute’s vision of nurturing future leaders in science and technology.
As they continue to develop and refine Aushadhi AI, their journey will serve as an inspiration for students across disciplines to pursue innovation with passion and purpose.
